|Mohinder arrives in New York to carry on his father's research.|
|Mohinder Suresh came to New York City to carry on his father's resarch. Unfortunately, few shared their belief in select individuals developing strange and fantastic abilities. In his travels, he found his own unique trait. Within his immune sytem, he carried the only known cure to a rare virus. The same virus which killed his sister, Shanti...|
Mohinder Suresh visits a hospital and speaks with the the hospital director for a donation to help with Mohinder's research on finding those with special abilities and curing the disease which plagued his sister. As the director begins to respond, the power goes out.
An adult patient in the nearby room seems to go into cardiac arrest as doctors and nurses rush in to revive him with a shot of adrenaline. The director then tells Mohinder that he will barely have enough money to keep his hospital going with all the blackouts, let alone to make a donation to such an insane cause as Mohinder's. He pushes him aside as the director waves and greets a man who carries a Primatech briefcase.
Mohinder trips and falls, hitting the end of a different patient's bed. Mohinder stands up and reads the patient's chart. He tells the patient that he can cure him with his blood, but after performing a transfusion finds disappointment when the man shows no abnormality or change in state, until another blackout occurs and electricity arcs from his mouth and arms.
