A man with perfect vision, becomes a man in need of glasses. |
Noah Bennet has executed numerous missions on behalf of the mysterious "company." His foresight and quick thinking have at times made him either an invaluable employee or a dangerous enemy to the enigmatic organization. But what toll have these missions taken upon Noah himself? |
Summary
In an optometrist's office, Noah and Claire talk about Noah's perfect eyesight, something Claire's grandfather liked to call "eagle eye". Later, Noah and the Haitian drive from Odessa, Texas, to Peach Pit, Georgia, on a Company mission to bag and tag a dangerous evolved human named Howard Grigsby, who believes his newly-manifested ability is a gift from God.
Noah and the Haitian split up outside a window of the abandoned plantation where Howard has the Butler family kidnapped. Mr. and Mrs. Butler beg for their lives as Howard talks about being the light of God. Noah walks into a dark room of the plantation and, after turning a corner, sees the Haitian unconscious on the floor.
Suddenly, a bright light emanating from Howard's entire body catches Noah off-guard and nearly blinds him. Running into the room where he last saw Howard and hearing the cries of the Butlers, Noah shoots his gun at the chandelier above Howard, knocking him off his guard.
As Noah regains his now-weakened eyesight, an optometrist tells him the Haitian brought him here, and also the Butlers are safe and Howard is being held in a Level 5 detention cell. Back at their home, Claire helps Noah choose which pair of glasses he wears, a small glint shining from the horn-rimmed pair.

Notes
- The last three letters of the eye chart Noah reads are H R G, which was the original name given to Mr. Bennet by the producers when his name was shrouded in mystery. H.R.G. stands for his trademark horn-rimmed glasses.
- Noah saved the Butler family. He would later use that name as an alias.
